I have had a successful journey in Cross Country, Road Running, Marathon and Ultra Marathon. I have run the 80km Cradle Mountain to Lake St Clair overland track (Tasmania) in 10 hours, run a 10k road race in 33 minutes and the Gold Coast 1/2 Half Marathon in 1hr 15mins. When I turned my direction to cycling I became a Veteran Club Road Champion and The State Veteran Road Champion as well as the State Masters Road and Time Trial Champion. Turning my focus to Triathlon I have Won the Coral Coast 5150 Triathlon, the Cairns 70.3 Triathlon and the Australian Olympic Distance Triathlon for my age group...

I have had a successful career in Athletics from 1500m –Marathon. Boasting a 2hr 40 min Marathon, 52m 15k, 34 min 10k, I won the National Marathon Championship in 1989 and 1990 and represented Australia at World Championships over Marathon and 15k . I won numerous State titles before transitioning to Triathlon in 1991 where my success continued holding the Open State Championship status in Long Couse Triathlon and Duathlon and claiming National Age Group Champion in distances from Sprint – Ironman Triathlon, Duathlon and Cycling ( South Pacific Time Trial Champion).

How Gatti Sports Started

Gatti Sports has been owned and operated by Marcus Roberts and Trudy Fenton since 1 March 1998.

Both have a successful competitive history in athletics, cycling, duathlon and triathlon as well as being involved in the administration of athletics and triathlon.

Our focus has always been providing safe, fair and fun events for the newcomer and we derive great pleasure in encouraging people to take the first step and then witnessing the progression to health and fitness.

Our Favourite Legs

Run = simple, one foot in front of the other to go faster move you feet faster.
Bike = good fun until you fall off, Ouch.
Swim = lying face down in a bath of chlorinated water, looking at a black line and blowing your own bubbles into your ears, no fun.
Party = bring it on..
